Ornaments are inspired by the clothing of Georgian royal family members, ktetors and commanders, portrayed on the frescoes of Georgian Orthodox church. XVII -XVIII Centuries. 

This specific ornament is designed incorporating the patterns found on the dress of chief army commander Giorgi II Dadiani, as depicted in the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin in Khobi. XIV century.
